The J. Anton Report for May 2007
Posted on June 4, 2007
May was yet another banner month for Me so let’s get started, shall we?
On May 2nd, I got insurance for the car. All that’s left is to get it registered and plated. It’s good to get that all taken care of. On May 5th, I took my little brother to buy his first guitar. While perusing the rows and rows of guitars, I spotted a relatively inexpensive 12-string guitar. Now, 12-strings are rarely cheap, so finding a good price on this one, there’s was no way I could pass it up. So I bought it.
A week later, on May 11th, made first car payment. $156.78 down, $4,843.22. I’m now a worldly man, knowing the sting of debts and loans and interest. On May 18th, I made a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo. I wrassled a tapir, chased the monkeys, and fed a chupacabra. All in all, it was a good time. Pictures from the excursion can be seen over at Flickr.
Then there was May 21st… Ah May 21st. I redesigned jwiltshire.org, and I might even consider releasing the K2 style it’s built on. Then came the big thing. Site5, providers of amazing hosting, were running a deal. 110 Gb of storage, 5 Tb of bandwidth, and up to 110 domains for $5.00 a month. What a steal! So I signed up for one, since I have a few domains lying around. The first site I set up on the server Poseidon was Panzerwaffle.org, just a place to point around to the stuff I do on the web. I then set up a little photoblog, aperture.panzerwaffle, because I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Pixelpost. And finally, after all the dns propogation stuff cleared up, I was able to set up Macfags.com, a domain that I waited almost a year and a half to get ownership of. I’ve got that going, and have even put up a post or two. Sweet life!

Where did you get the 12 string?
Picked it up at Music-Go-Round on 66th and “Oh”. It’s a no-name brand, and aside from the fact that it’s a bitch to keep in tune, it’s nice to have around.
I love that store. I’ve purchased a few guitars there.
